In my northeast neck of the woods, everyone’s talking about fall. I noticed fellow bloggers are all abuzz regarding this most glorious of seasons as well. I’m jumping on the fall bandwagon, with hot apple cider in hand, to share a host of photos taken at Filasky’s farm on the first afternoon of autumn.
As with all good montages, music is of the utmost importance. So either hum your favorite tune, or play this suggested fall photo montage song (really just the chorus).

Filasky’s sells Woodside Farm Creamery’s ice cream. Fall flavors include Pumpkin and Pumpkin Pecan. You need to try it!
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot
Haha! Nothing says fall like an oddly shaped gourd! Miss you…
So true! haha. Miss you, too!!
Really nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. I live in Florida so I don’t get to see that kind of fall anymore.
Thanks! I’m sure I’ll post more when the leaves actually start to change. If I lived in Florida, I would miss the seasons, but LOVE the winters. 🙂
Your hay bales are $1.50 less than ours!
I’m not surprised. Isn’t EVERYTHING more expensive (and better) in California?
Love these! Especially you on the baby tractor. I want on when we go together. 😉
That place is littered with baby tractors. We will create our very own montage. 🙂
Great photos. I need that pumpkin pecan ice cream asap. That Mexican hat gourds are too cool.
Pumpkin Pecan ice cream is SO good! They also have Cinnamon Bun which is great on apple pie!
Hey, I was discussing Fall with my students this afternoon and I showed them this post. They particularly enjoyed the swan gourd. Also, after a heated debate and a narrow vote, the class decided that there is in fact a giant girl on a regular sized tractor and not the other way around.
Do you mean to tell me I’m contributing to the education of America’s youth? That’s awesome! I’m sure you’re their favorite teacher. With all the giant girl vs tiny tractor debates how could you not be?
I love the George Eliot quote at the bottom. It’s so dramatic. If I said that today it would have to be ironically. Irony is exhausting. Let’s bring back sincerity.
I agree! I used the quote because of the bird reference and you know how feel about birds…
And nice touch with the muzac! Enhanced my viewing experience–your blog’s going multi-media
Thanks! Entertainment central up in here! I got it ALL.
Beautiful. My favorite time of year!
Fall is the BEST!
Best Fall Photo Montage EVER! I love that Mexican Hat gourd! And that last photo is just ridonkulous-ly beautiful.
As for the giant girl on the regular-sized tractor, well, I can’t think about it right now. I have bigger problems. Like this bacon shortage.
Thanks, Jules! Wait there’s a bacon shortage? Hmmm…maybe I can sell the stockpile of Amish bacon I have in my freezer for a premium.
Love the fall colors–especially in the last one. I am patiently waiting for the leaves to turn here. Sigh. Maybe next weekend I can break out my camera. This is my fave time of year without a doubt.
I love in Vermont in the fall. I can imagine that Maine is just as beautiful!
Love the photos Rachel. Sadly, we have pumpkins but no fall colors yet.
Leaves are slowly turning now in my neck of the woods. But it’ll be a few weeks before they are in their full glory. 🙂
